Alexander D. Boll

Alexander (*2003 in Berlin) is an actor, writer and 2022 graduate of the legendary École Philippe Gaulier – becoming the school’s youngest-ever graduate at age 19.

He studied under world-renowned theatre maestro Philippe Gaulier (1943-2026), Britain’s Got Talent Winner Viggo Venn as well as Edinburgh Fringe Award Winner Julia Masli.

His debut solo show, Claudwick., premiered in Berlin in October 2024 (praised as "superkomische Gentrifizierungsshow" by tipBerlin) under the direction of award-winning director Katharina N. Boll, followed by a successful one-year Berlin run at the Lost City Cabaret.

Beyond the stage, Alexander is an established voice actor being part of award-winning radio dramas on German public broadcasters (rbb, WDR, SWR) and co-producer of two independent theatre festivals in Berlin, whose programmes included performances by renowned French clown Fred Blin and award-winning Polish artist Piotr Sikora.

Katharina N. Boll

Katharina N. Boll is an award-winning Armenian-Austrian director and writer. Two time recipient of the Austrian government’s Outstanding Artist Award, distinctive alumna of the École Philippe Gaulier and former assistant of Philippe Gaulier.

Since then, she has directed over 20 productions across Berlin, Vienna, Paris, and the UK, translated key works by Jean-Luc Lagarce and Gaulier, and lectured in theatre at institutions including the Berlin University of the Arts and the University of Regensburg.

In 2024 she directed co-wrote Alexander’s debut show Claudwick.
